In the US’s current socio-political climate, the conversation around race seems to be consistently dominated by a specific perspective, a perspective that divides people and ideas into “black” or “white” dichotomies. Spaces of solidarity (especially outside the black-white dichotomy) are rarely focused upon by mainstream media. This piece is a reflection of and a commentary on that perspective, as well as the personal journeys of people of different ethnic backgrounds as they navigate these conversations with each other.
